Conditions in horses that respond well to acupuncture include:

  • Back Pain (Acute/Chronic)
  • Lameness eg. Tendonitis, Sesamoiditis, Laminitis and Navicular disease
  • COPD
  • Post viral fatigue
  • Paralysis, muscle spasm
  • Behavioural problems
  • Tendon injuries
  • Infertility
  • Chronic gastrointestinal disease

Animals on the whole accept needling very well, and in fact may become very relaxed.

Please note acupuncture in animals may only be performed by a veterinarian with a thorough knowledge of veterinary anatomy and physiology.

Referral from your own vet is preferable and clinics are available at various veterinary practice in the South Devon area.
